The afternoon schedule includes performances by Hozier, Tove Lo, Nick Jonas, The Weeknd and Janet Jackson.
There are also daytime performances scheduled for Saturday at the MGM Resorts Village. This is not just my opinion (I feel terrible not giving it 5 stars) but this is what others I spoke to afterwards also said.The lineup: This year's star-studded roster includes such music heavyweights as Kanye West, Sam Smith, Lil Wayne, Coldplay and the Who. If you’re looking for a country concert, I’d look elsewhere. All in all, beautiful people, beautiful music, & if you’re looking for a SHOW, absolutely go. so definitely wouldn’t recommend / attend again unless the city/venue changed. We were disappointed we couldn’t stand, scream sing, and have a good time. We were just so shocked the whole time at the lack of fun being had. At one point one of the artists asked the crowd to sing the lyrics and it fell so quiet, our jaws dropped. But that’s exactly it, I think everyone in Texas (I even spoke to local people afterwards who agreed) attend this event as a “show” more than a “concert.” So they quite literally sit, and watch. Being in the 4th row of our section, we couldn’t stand because we could tell no one wanted to and we didn’t want to be the reason everyone didn’t enjoy their show. Yet, the audience sat, basically in silence, for what felt like the entirety of the show. some of the GREATEST names are the reason we traveled and they played songs that made me want to party as well as cry. We were so excited to travel to Austin, TX for a country music festival until the music started.
